Freelance Over-the-Phone and Video Remote Interpreters

Role Description

This is a contract-based fully remote role for freelance over-the-phone and video remote interpreters. Responsibilities include providing interpretation services over the phone (OPI) or via video (VRI) for various industries and ensuring clear and accurate communication. Interpreters must handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and adhere to industry standards. Both on-demand and pre-scheduled interpreting opportunities available.

Qualifications

Native-level proficiency in two or more languages, including English and at least one additional language (including, but not limited to Afrikaans, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish)
Strong verbal communication and interpretating skills, with the ability to render messages accurately and faithfully
Knowledge of cultural nuances
Prior experience in language interpretation or translation
Access to reliable internet and a quiet, distraction-free work environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
