Medialocate USA, Inc. announced today that its EN15038-2006 certification has been renewed by TÜV SÜD America Inc.
The worldwide certification body for quality management systems audits Medialocate and other certified providers each year.
“TÜV SÜD approved literally every one of Medialocate’s systems and processes” said Stephan Lins, Medialocate’s chief executive officer, “a significant improvement over our initial EN15038 certification in 2013.”
“A key reason for the company’s improved rating in 2014 was an even closer integration of Medialocate’s ‘Quality Committee’ which includes members from our Project Management, Localization Engineering, Information Technology, Resource & Quality Management, Administration and Financial Management Departments,” according to Lins.
The designation “EN” stands for European Norm, a European certification specifically designed for the translation industry.
EN15038-2006 certification is especially critical to both translation service providers, and the clients they serve, as a guarantee of accurate document and multimedia translations and localizations.
TÜV SÜD’s certification describes the full scope of Medialocate’s Quality Management System as including the:
- The Provision of Multilingual Services,
- Offering Documentation, Software, Website, and Multimedia Localization for the
- Medical, Technical, Government, Marketing, Education, Retail, Entertainment and Financial (Business) Sectors
TÜV SÜD’s standard EN15038-2006 certification covers all translation processes including commissioning, translation, proofreading, review, project management, quality control, traceability, and delivery. It helps describe and define the entire service and offers a set of procedures and best practices involved in all aspects of the translation process.
